TORONTO - Sunday May 14- Sporting Braga of the Portuguese First Division defeated Santa Clara of the Portuguese Second Division here tonight, to wrap-up a 4-game weekend exhibition series played at Lamport Stadium. Braga won 4-2 on penalty kicks following a scoreless tie at the end of 90 minutes.
In a second game played tonight, Toronto Supra Portuguese and Serbian White Eagles of the CPSL's International Division played to a 1-1 tie to the end of 90 minutes with Toronto Supra Portuguese winning 6-5 on penalty kicks. Sasa Vicikmez opened the scoring for Serbian White Eagles after 36 minutes and Supra's Alex Posada tied the game 14 minutes into the second half.
In games played Friday,Braga defeated Toronto Supra Portuguese 5-0 and Santa Clara defeated Serbian White Eagles, 2-1.
S.C. Angrense of the Portuguese Third Division are the visitors this coming week with a game against London City at the Cove ground in London on Friday, May 19, an 8.38 p.m. kickoff and the team from The Azores will then move to Toronto for a clash with Toronto Supra Portuguese on Sunday, May 21, a 7:00 p.m. start at Brockton Stadium.
