LIONS WIN, LONDON AND OLYMPIANS TIE 1-1 AND DYNAMITES SWAMP SUPRA 6-1
Glasgow scored the only goal for Metro Lions when he headed the ball out of reach of Sun Devils' goalkeeper Rob Tilley for Lions fifth league win of the season. Lions improve to a 5-5-0 WLT record for 15 points to take over third position in the Eastern Conference. Vaughan stays in sixth position with a 3-6-1 record for 10 points.
London City defender Tyler Hemming opened the scoring for the home side shortly after the opening whistle and Olympians' Dave Nutt levelled the score at the 17th minute mark.
Olympians move one point clear of Toronto Croatia with a 6-2-5 record for 23 points in the Western Conference, while City improves to a 2-4-6 record for 12 points in sixth place.
Montreal Dynamites made life even more difficult for a struggling Toronto Supra with 6-1 win that included two Dynamites' goals by forward Nasson Theosmy and singles from Leo Incollingo, Nicola Rohroti, Karl Stephen and Keith Moore. Ex-Lynx player Francisco Dos Santos scored the lone marker for Supra. Montreal improves to a 6-3-3 WLT record for 21 points, while Toronto Supra are at 2-4-1 for seven points at the foot of the Eastern Conference.
In exhibition soccer Friday, two goals each by Peter Curic and Mladen Dikic and a single by Josep Juric, gave Tornto Croatia a 5-0 romp over the developing NTCO team at Memorial Park in Mississauga.
