YORK REGION RALLY REWARDED WITH 4-4 TIE AT CLUB ROMA
St. Catharines took the lead at the 31st minute on a goal by Kevin Pitra and this was followed by two goals from Tony Carbonara. Aunorea Rollins pulled one back for York Region but another St. Catharines goal by Mark Mullholland made it 4-1 for the home side after 67 minutes. York Region Shooters fought back with goals by Bill Androutsos (76 minutes), Joey Todaro (78 minutes) and Paul Sinisi eight minutes from time for the 4-4 tie.
York Region Shooters maintain their third place with 15 points and a 4-5-3 WLT record in the Eastern Conference, while St. Catharines hold third place in the Western Conference with 16 points from a 4-4-4 record.
Four goals equals the highest score by the Shooters in a 4-2 win over Metro Lions on June 29, while the Roma Wolves had previously scored five for a 5-1 win over North York Astros on July 24 and they twice scored four goals in an identical 6-4 losing cause against Mississauga Olympians on June 21 and July 19.
