ROMA WOLVES NIP TORONTO CROATIA 2-1 AT ST. CATHARINES
Zumpano won the game for Roma Wolves with goals at the 57th and 86th minute mark after Toronto Croatia's Velimir Crljen gave the visitors a 1-0 lead just 9 minutes into the game. Zumpano was strong throughout and came close to completing a hat-trick. The two goals were his 8th and 9th of the season.
With just two games now remaining in their league schedule, St. Catharines needed the win to stay in contention for a playoff position and a chance at defending their title as the current CPSL champions, having won the Rogers Cup last October. Roma Wolves have now played 17 league games and have a 5-6-6 WLT record for the 21 points--tied with Hamilton Thunder for the third spot in the standings.Mississauga Olympians are on top with 23 points from 14 games, Toronto Croatia second with 22 points from 13 games.
