Ontario and Quebec senior teams have been given an extension to enter the CPSL Open Canada Cup following requests and comments that more time is still needed. The league has decided to accept entries into April to a point at which there is a maximum number of entries.
The CPSL is inviting all senior teams in the two provinces to join the CPSL teams in playing for the Government of Canada Cup and a prize of $10,000 to the winner.
There is an entry fee of $595.
Games will be played during the long weekends of the summer--Victoria Day weekend (May 16-19), Canada Day weekend (June 27-30), Civic Holiday weekend (August 1-4) and Labour Day weekend for the semi-finals and final (August 29 - Sept. 1).
Amateur teams will enter the Preliminary Round in May, while pro clubs in the A-League and CPSL will be seeded.
Enquiries can be made and registrations can be arranged by calling the CPSL office at(905)856-5439.
