MONTREAL DYNAMITES WIN AND LOSE IN LEAGUE CUP
Montreal Dynamites forward Kalid Mensah scored two second half goals to give his side a 3-2 win over Ottawa Wizards in the second leg of the first round of the CPSL League Cup played at Lachine, Quebec Sunday afternoon. Despite the win, the Wizards advanced to the second round on a 7-3 total goals aggregate following their 5-0 victory at OZ Stadium on July 20.
Gerry Pean opened the scoring at the 23rd minute mark for Montreal in Sunday's game, but Russell Shaw tied the score for Ottawa just four minutes later. Kevin Nelson put the Wizards in front one minute after the interval, but Montreal fought back with Mensah's goals afer 50 and 75 minutes.

Ottawa joins Brampton Hitmen, Durham Flames, Mississauga Olympians and Vaughan Sun Devils in the second round. The Wizards are the defending CPSL League Cup champions and Sunday's win by Montreal is the first victory against Ottawa Wizards since the two teams became new members of the CPSL in 2001.
