DYNAMITES DOWN SUPRA 3-2 TO STAY IN PLAYOFF BATTLE

SUNDAY, September 28--Laval Dynamites may live to fight another day following their 3-2 upset win over Toronto Supra at Laval this afternoon, one of three games in the Canadian Professional Soccer League

Ottawa Wizards also completed its regular season schedule, a 1-0 victory over Vaughan Sun Devils at the OZ Stadium, and North York Astros again showed good end-of-the season form in their last game, defeating Western Conference runner-up Brampton Hitmen by a 3-1 score at Esther Shiner Stadium in North York.

Laval handed Toronto Supra its second defeat in two days after the Toronto team went all season with an unbeaten 16 games in league competition. Supra were handed a 3-0 loss by Ottawa Wizards Saturday.

Leo Incollingo opened the scoring for Les Dynamites at the 29th minute mark and Martin Peraza tied it for Supra at 44 minutes for a 1-1 tie at half-time.

Courtney Dennis put Supra in the lead seven minutes after the interval and Nasson Theosmy scored for Laval at the 60th minute mark. Nicola Rotiroti struck the winner for Laval five minutes later.

As a result of today�s win, Laval Dynamites have an opportunity for third place in the Eastern Conference standings and a playoff position should Vaughan Sun Devils lose their last League game against Durham Flames on Tuesday night.

Trevor Reddick scored the lone goal at the 71st minute to give Ottawa Wizards a victory in their last regular league game and an impressive 13-0-5 WLT record for 44 points, eight in front of runner-up Toronto Supra. Wizards ended their regular season campaign as the only unbeaten team in league competition.

North York Astros ended their season on a winning note, an impressive 3-1 defeat of Brampton Hitmen in a game that saw the Astros take a 3-0 lead well into the second half.

Mykola Voytsekhovsky led the way with the first goal at the 14th minute mark, Francisco Dos Santos made it 2-0 at 33 minutes, the score at half-time. Pablo Politi made it 3-0 for North York at 58 minutes before Dorn Torben put the Hitmen on the scoresheet with a goal one minute later.

The Astros end the season in fifth position in the west, a 4-9-5 record for 17 points.
