Regarding the Inside Soccer Magazine comment about game delay; I am tottaly anaware of any delay in Oshawa because of my team , and I am there every time. Thanks |

You are correct. The game was Metro Lions' home game at Birchmount Stadium. I had commented on the game in a previous e-mail and didn't want to restate the fact even though the question was incorrect. I should have corrected the question being asked as it did give the impression that Durham did not start their game on time.
Thanks for keeping me on my toes. Yours sincerely, Vincent Ursini |

If you check the team pages section of our website, it contains all the detailed information, including contact information, for all of our teams. If you need any other assistance, please call the CPSL Office at 905-856-5439 and you can reach Josie at extension 2. She will be happy to assist you. If you are not yet ready for the CPSL, the Clubs have youth teams that they are involved in, or affiliated with, that may meet your need. Thanks for your question and good luck.
Yours sincerely, Vincent Ursini

Question: |
Hi,I am a huge fan of the CPSL. The brand of soccer you deliver is really exciting.I was just wondering if any CPSL teams would ever consider playing a soccer game in Europe or a big soccer nation like that. I think if you really want a good soccer league you have to play against many different soccerteams and styles. So,would you ever consider playing a team outside of Canada,eh.

Thank you for you love of our game. We have played teams from overseas in the past. Last year, our All-Stars played Morocco and Maritimo da Madeira(Portugal), and this year we played 1860 Munich. We are eager to play as many international matches as possible. One goal we have is to assemble our best players after the season and take them on an international tour for three or four weeks to showcase our players. I think this is a real possibility after the 2003 season. In order for our players/teams to be more competitive internationally, we have to have players playing/training on a full time basis. It is hard to compete against foreign teams that train twice a day, four to five days a week and then play a league game. The CPSL is hoping to make being a full time soccer player a reality in order to make us more competitive.
Thanks for your question and your support. Yours sincerely, Vincent Ursini

Yes there are several Jamaican players playing in our league. You may still join a CPSL team any time up to September 1 when the team rosters are frozen. Yes, there is a limit of 5 imported players per team in the League. Please call our office at 905-856-5439 ext 2 to follow-up on your request. You should have a summary of your contact information and your soccer experience ready to provide Josie so that she can distribute the information. Good luck and thank you for your questions.
